This is a full 6 berth motorhome that was purchased new in Germany in April 2007, brought back to the UK and Registered as new on 17.4.07.
We paid around £30,000 (including import duties and vat for the motorhome and now offer it for sale at a much reduced price.
The vehicle is a left hand drive model has been used as a hire motorhome between May until November 2007. It currently has a mileage of 14,997 miles. It is taxed until the end of March 2008 (a years road tax is currently £180 per year). It has been regularly serviced before the manufacturers set intervals and these are recorded in the service logbook.
This is a left-hand drive model and is built upon the new Fiat Ducato chassis introduced in late 2006 and has the new 2.2L multijet 100HP engine, driver’s airbag and ABS braking.
It can accommodate 6 adults in three separate areas; a large double bed above the front drivers cab, a double bed in the dining area in the middle of the motorhome and two single bunk beds at the rear that fold up to provide a large garage space for bikes, outdoor gear etc.
The A640 is very good looking with a red frontage with white coach work. The front bumpers are co-ordinated to match the front of the vehicle. It has red matching decals at the sides and rear and overall has the appearance of a very modern motorhome.

Behind the driver’s seat are two bench seats, one forward facing with fully-fitted seat belts, and over a large dining table, two rear facing seats (no seat belts).
All windows are double-glazed to retain the maximum amount of heat and have both night and fly screens.
Lighting is supplied by a number of overhead dual bulb lighting units.
A Trumatic gas warm air blown heating system is installed.
A Thetford toilet and cassette system is installed and the shower is integrated into the toilet area.
There is a two ring gas powered hob, and a 77L Dometic gas/240/12v fridge installed.
There are a sufficient number of overhead lockers both in the diner and the rear area.
In addition, there is under-seat storage for everything else – under the bench dining seat and especially under the rear fold up bunk.
It currently has a few small scratches and dents mainly to the lower bodywork (estimates have been obtained for all of these totalling £200, and they will be repaired before sale), and the main instrument panel (above the entrance doorway) malfunctioned in late 2007, and a new part has been ordered from the manufacturers – they state that it may take up to 4 months to prepare a new one. Once this electrical circuit board arrives, it will be forwarded to the new owner. All electrical systems were by-passed due to this malfunction and the water system pump and lighting systems were bypassed from the control panel to provide all full working water and electrical systems. There is a sticky button on the dash radio and this unit will be replaced or a full cost provided.
The vehicle otherwise is in almost as new condition.
